Joshua King has been a company member of Backhausdance and Anaheim Ballet. He began dancing in his hometown of Palm Springs and continued his education at California State University, Long Beach as a dance major. After competing at the NYC finals of Youth America Grand Prix, he was awarded a fellowship to the school at Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, where he performed works by Robert Battle, Sidra Bell, Camille A. Brown, Christopher Huggins and Earl Mosley. Joshua has had the pleasure of traveling across the country and internationally to perform and teach. He is currently on faculty at Orange County School of the Arts and teaches Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz and Leaps & Turns at SCC. Other credits include performing for NIKE, Dance For Life, Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival at McCallum Theatre, Anaheim International Dance Festival, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
